Ice Maker Care

• Routine: After sanitizing/descaling, run 2 ice cycles with clean water and discard the ice.
  
• Priority Behavior: If Ice Making and Ice Water are enabled together, the unit makes ice water first (≈15 minutes), then automatically starts making ice.
  
• Water Quality: Use potable, low-mineral or filtered water to reduce scale and keep ice clear.
  

Water Refilling Options

• Top-Loading (3–5 gal): Seat the bottle straight down to avoid introducing air; do not force.
  
• Manual Fill: Add only potable water through the jug core; avoid sugary, flavored, or carbonated liquids (can damage the system).
  

Storage & Moving

• Drain Completely: Unplug; allow the hot tank to cool. Drain hot and cold tanks; empty the ice area and drip tray.
  
• Dry & Vent: Wipe interior surfaces dry; leave the jug core opening slightly ajar to prevent odors.
  
• Upright Transport: Keep upright. If tilted, let stand 2–4 hours before plugging in.
